The first trip of the year was to Hopton Hall in Derbyshire to view the snowdrops and they did not disappoint. In addition aconites, hellebores, primulas and pulmonarias were all in flower too, so we certainly got our money’s worth! The weather stayed dry for our walk around Hopton’s gardens and woods but the rain came earlier than forecast when we arrived at Carsington. However, it did not dampen members’ enthusiasm for the sights we had seen and all enjoyed the trip.
Our next meeting is at the John Godber Centre on 17th March, 2020, when we welcome back Helen Sills as our speaker. All are welcome.
