The Groups’ Coordinator reported that several Committee Members had booked places on an East Midlands Regional U3A Conference to be held at Eastwood Hall Hotel in April.
An update was given regarding U3A Day and The Nottinghamshire U3A Arts day to be held in August. Several of our Committee Members were planning to attend the Arts Day along with some Interest Groups
The Treasurer presented the latest monthly accounts. A brief discussion took place regarding the impact of Barclays Bank closing their Hucknall branch in the near future. The Committee were advised that prices for room hire at the Leisure Centre would rise slightly from April.
Our Equipment Manager told the Committee that he was presently in contact with a local company with regard to PAT of our electrical equipment.
David Rose reported back on a meeting he had held with staff at Leen Mills Primary school for U3A and pupils at the school to work together to plant trees in the school grounds.
The Membership Secretary reported that 486 Members had renewed their Membership and with another sixteen still expected then Membership should top the five hundred mark.
The Business Secretary reported on preparations and Agenda for next months’ Annual General Meeting.
