Weekenders' Group

The Hucknall U3A Weekenders Group was set up in response to some members saying that, as single people, although there were plenty of U3A Group activities during the week, quite often the weekends might be not very busy at all. The Co-ordinator invites members every three months to an informal meeting at her home to discuss what the Group members might like to do on some weekends for the next three months. Activities and events are researched by the Co-ordinator and members are informed either by email or by printed programme at the U3A Monthly Meeting when there is an opportunity for members to put their names down for any particular event and arrangements are then made by the Co-ordinator for meeting up. The type of activity depends on what the members would like to do and all suggestions are noted.
Saturday, 1st – Lunch at the West End Restaurant, West Bridgford at 12.30 pm; three course lunch for £8.95. Names are still being taken.
Wednesday. 5th December – Hucknall Carnival & Hucknall Christmas Tree Festival – Free
Sunday. 9th December – Lunch at The Dog & Quayle, Underwood at 2 pm: £4.50 or £6 carvery. Places are still available.
Saturday, 5th January, 2013 – Planning Get-Together at the Co-ordinator’s home, 2-4 pm.
