Thanks to Mid-Length Walk Leaders

Our November walk was a 7 mile circular walk from Ticknall, via Staunton Harold Reservoir and Calke Abbey Estate. The forecast was for drizzle but as it turned out we had a dry day with some very pleasant sunshine as we ate our lunch at Calke Abbey.

As is ‘usual’ for our group we culminated the day with a very pleasant drink in the Wheel Inn, in Ticknall. This was a great way to end the group’s walking calendar for the year.

Our walk leaders met a few weeks ago and we have already planned our 2018 programme, which will be emailed out to group members soon. I would like to thank all our walk leaders. They willingly offer their time and expertise and this is the reason our group is successful.

We will be having our belated Christmas lunch after this walk (more details will follow to group members only). Walk to be led by Paul and Steph Haigh.
