We had a very pleasant 5 mile walk in January. Starting from Nottingham Magistrates Court, twenty nine of the group walked along the Nottingham & Beeston Canal to Beeston Marina. We bought coffees and snacks from the café there and then walked on to Beeston Station, to return to Nottingham by train. This was a different kind of walk for our group and was a good start to the year. If we had carried on walking from the Marina for another 2 miles we would have arrived at Attenborough; that would be a really good walk for a smaller group as only 1 train an hour stops there.
We will be back to our more challenging walks now, starting with a 6.25 mile circular walk from the Hutt to Newstead Abbey on Monday 16th February.
