History Group March Report and Trip details

Our meeting in March when the speaker was Jenny Page felt quite unusual. It was interesting to see how women had to be trained to take over many jobs helping to keep the country ‘running smoothly’ when most of the men were away fighting during the Great War of 1914 – 1918.
I feel sure every member has seen the coverage of Richard lll on television, newspapers or internet. It has certainly piqued my interest. For those booked for the visit to Leicester on April 15th the time to meet is 11.45 on the Market Place, Ogle Street side.
