Energy and Smart Meter Workshop 23rd March

19 members attended this workshop which was run by RCAN (Rural Community Action Nottinghamshire) assisted by Citizens Advice.
We learnt about the multiplicity of providers and the wide range of tariffs of each provider who all charge different amounts for the same product- energy in the form of gas and electricity.
A live example of these different rates was demonstrated online.
There was some discussion of how to change and the pros and cons of ‘smart meters’.
It allowed members to share their own experiences and 1:1 follow up session were offered to individuals.
