Cycling November

‘A Good Time Was Had by All’
November started with two wet Wednesdays but subsequently the wild and windy weather did calm down in the latter half of the month. This was especially pleasing as it was our ‘Christmas Breakfast Brunch’ ride on the 26th.
This followed a bracing ride on a route via Goosedale, Killarney Park, Bestwood Park and finally Bulwell Hall Park- definitely a park ride!
The staff at the clubhouse at Bulwell golf club were very welcoming where we enjoyed an ‘English Breakfast’, mince pies and coffee.
A major plus was that the jokes in the Christmas Crackers were so good that Terry Hill is saving them for the Christmas social. You lucky people.
We held a charity raffle with three fantastic prizes and winners included our party organiser, Irene Astill who is looking forward to using her special soap on her next bath night sometime in the New Year.

We are an open group, new members are welcome and we meet every Wednesday at 9am outside Hucknall Leisure Centre.
Finally a group photograph in front of our trophy display cabinet.
