Cycling Christmas Breakfast Ride

It has been a long time since we cancelled 2 consecutive Wednesdays because of wet weather. This month was the exception and in fact very few days have been cancelled throughout the year. This reflects the relatively dry weather that we have had so far in 2015.
The early Christmas breakfast ride will be on November 25th. We will leave the leisure centre at 9am to arrive at Bulwell golf club at 10am.
Please contact Irene if you are coming and she will then liaise with Bulwell and then send out menu choices.
We are sad to report that one of the stalwarts of Hucknall U3A Alan Snape has decided to hang up his helmet and bike clips .Alan was the driving force behind the cycling group co-ordinating it from its inception until mid 2014.
Our rides are quieter without him as he always has something interesting to talk about whilst peddling on the flat or even when panting up a 1 in 5 gradient. Being a local Bulwell lad when we ride through the town he has invariably been a source of interesting information about its history and colourful inhabitants.
