Pub Quiz December

PUB QUIZ & LUNCH
Our Christmas Pub Quiz took place on Monday, 14th December when we welcomed back John Peters from his holiday cruise. The Nabb Inn did a special Christmas Meal Deal which we all enjoyed. The December Quiz was a little different, with a Christmas Lucky Dip and a “Strictly Come Quizzing” competition to find the individual Competition Champion, amongst other activities. The Champion of Champion was Peggy Cooke (who won a bottle of champagne). The winning team was Christmas Crackers(1) and the second team was Christmas Crackers2. Third prize winning team was “Whatever”. Bouquets of flowers were presented to Sandra Green, Molly Shrewsbury and Alison Robbins by John, the Quizmaster, for their contribution to the running of the group over the year. Thanks to Margaret & Tony Whilde for stepping in at the last moment with the sound system. Thanks also to all contributors to the raffle and Bumper Bag.
Our next Pub Quiz will be on Monday, 11th January at 12 noon. On arrival please find a table, check the table number and then order your drink (and meal if you are dining) at the bar. We have teams of up to five members (don’t worry if you are on your own as we will find a team for you to join; we are very friendly). We start the Quiz at 12.30 and eat after the Quiz. We have a raffle, which includes a “bumper bag” of goodies, amongst other prizes. We are always very grateful for any donations for the “bumper bag” (store cupboard items or other small items) and other raffle prizes. Each member of the winning team receives a small prize. Quiz sheets are 50p and raffle tickets £1 a strip. So get your thinking caps on and come and join us!
