We met to plan the next three months’ activities which will definitely include an Afternoon Tea at The Clock House, Upton, a Social Evening at Sandra Green’s with an appropriate “Green” theme, and a Morning Walk around Attenborough Nature Reserve.
We have already enjoyed a Sunday lunch at the newly refurbished Kingsway Restaurant on Kingway at Kirkby in Ashfield and eight of us went to The Broadway to see “The Railway Man” an excellent but harrowing film.
There are quite of few other events happening around Nottingham this month, including the Chinese New Year celebrations at Lakeside Pavilion, University Park on 2nd February, a Craft and Food Streetmarket on 7th in the Lacemarket, Hucknall & Linby Brass Band at St. Peter & St. Paul’s on the 15th and Light Night at Nottingham Castle on 28th; quite a wide variety in fact.
