Byron Festival Air Competition
Our U3A watercolour group have been asked again to enter the ‘Byron Festival Art Competition’ which will be taking place during July. Our members have created a number of pictures featuring ‘Italian, carnival and Venice’. These will be on show during the day at the John Godber Centre on Friday 14 July in readiness for judging.
Outdoor painting session at Felley Priory
The next meeting for the watercolour group will be on Monday 7 August, this will be our outdoor session at Felley Priory. The group meet at Felley before lunch and finish around 4pm. There will be a small charge for the use of the gardens, unfortunately the café is not usually open so we do have to take all our painting gear along with refreshments for the day.
Felley Priory has beautiful gardens full of colourful flowers along with nooks and crannies, gates, walls and outstanding views. If you are interested in joining the group for the day, please contact Rose the co-ordinator either via the website or at the monthly meetings.
