Short Walks

MAY – SHORT WALK – BESTWOOD COUNTRY PARK WALK led by Helen Rose on Thursday 16th May 2013.
Please meet at the end of Wigwam Road [NG15 7SZ] for 10.00 start – on street parking. Skirting the end of Bestwood Lake a short but steep path leads out of the housing estate to the edge of Bestwood Woods. A gradual climb up through the woods eventually brings us out onto the old pit tip with great views on a clear day. Then it’s down hill all the way to the far end of the lake. A walk along the lake eventually takes us back to our starting point. [Distance 4.25 miles]
Suggest we go to the Bowman on Nottingham Road for a drink and eats.
