Last month we looked at how the science behind medicine and surgery developed from medieval times to the 1950’s. We agreed that having any operation or procedure today is a much better option than one without anaesthetic and the unsterilized crude surgical instruments of the barber surgeons in the ‘good old days’.

If there is time left then I will present a case study of a new drug Clinical Trial that ‘went wrong’
