The Reading Group met on 7th January to discuss “The Confessions of Catherine Howard” which most of us felt read like a teenage gossip magazine. The February meeting will be on 4th February when we will each choose and discuss a book on “achievement”. Then in March the book to be discussed will be “The Thread” by Victoria Hislop.
We are making plans to join up with the Creative Writing Group for World Book Day on Thursday, 5th March when we will be hopefully raising funds for “Book Aid International” and also raising awareness of reading in general. This will be from 10 am until 2 pm in the Hucknall Library. Please do come and support us on this occasion.
