We joined up with the Creative Writing Group for World Book Day on Thursday, 5th March when we raised funds in the Hucknall Library for “Book Aid International” which sends new books for children to schools etc in under-developed countries. Thanks to those U3A members who visited and helped out on the day, it was very much appreciated by me. And thanks also to the staff at Hucknall Library for all their help and support on the day.
Hopefully the April book choice for the Reading Group will be The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Fox, as unfortunately we did not have the books in time for the March Reading Group.
