Pub Quiz July

Our July Pub Quiz & Lunch was marred by the absence of our Quizmaster, John Peters, who, because of recent renovations of the Nabb Inn, was not able to access the venue via wheelchair.  After discussion with the Manager, it is hoped that additional changes will enable wheelchair users to access the premises more easily and we hope John will be back with us for the August meeting on the 10th.  In his absence Sandra Green was acting Quizmaster with questions covering “Superstitions”, “July”, “Sevens” and “The Final Frontier”.  The winners were 1^st The Mental Blanks, 2^nd Whatever! and 3^rd Nabbs Nutters.  Many thanks to those who donated raffle prizes or items for our “Bumper Bag” prize.  Thanks to Mollie Shrewsbury and Jenny Baldwin for their help on the day.
For those who have not been before, do come and join us; we meet at 12 noon at The Nabb Inn, Nabbs Lane.  On arrival please find a table, check the table number and then order your drink (and meal if you are dining) at the bar.  We have teams of up to five members (don’t worry if you are on your own as we will find a team for you to join; we are very friendly).  We start the Quiz at 12.30 and eat after the Quiz.  We have a raffle, which includes a “bumper bag” of goodies, amongst other prizes.    We would be very grateful for any donations for the “bumper bag” or other raffle prizes.  Each member of the winning team receives a small prize. Quiz sheets are 50p and raffle tickets £1 a strip.
