Pub Quiz and Lunch Latest

Twenty-eight of us met for the April Pub Quiz which had a “flight” theme and which was won by “Mental Blanks“ with runners up “Whatever”. A new quiz “just for fun” is Match The Pairs (this replaces the Dingbats). The Nabb Inn will allow us 36 seats in the alcove area and as the holidays will be coming up soon, it has been decided to remain at the Nabb for our Pub Quiz & Lunch until further notice. There will now be no fixed number of members in each team and the winning team will now receive a cash prize between them. There will still be a prize draw with a Bumper Bag and any other prizes donated on the day. The format is that we arrive between 12 noon and 12.15, order & pay for our drinks & lunch at the bar (lunch is optional but we can certainly recommend it for both quality & value for money). Then we get together in teams. Don’t worry if you are on your own; the teams welcome extra brain power! The subscription per person is £1 which includes the quiz sheet and one lucky draw ticket per person.
We then have the Quiz, compered by John Peters, after which we have lunch & then the answers. So why not join us on the second Monday of each month for a bit of fun & a bit of brain exercise? You never know, you might learn something new! The May quiz will be on the 9th.
