We now meet at Sherwood House, Linby on the first and third Wednesdays, at 1.20p.m. and 11.20a.m. respectively. Sherwood House is kept locked, so we meet at the time to match the ‘bus passengers, so that we enter the house together. The ‘bus runs from Papplewick Lane, past Tesco, Aldi, along Portland Road, the High Street, Annesley Road, and round to Linby, stopping just a few strides from the entrance to the house. The ‘bus timetable is almost perfect for our meetings, although at our first meeting most members drove and offered lifts, only two one-way trips were made on the ‘bus. There is free parking in the grounds of the house.
