National Trust September Visit

Our visit on Friday 5 September will be to Quarrybank Mill, Style, Cheshire. This is a cotton mill, built in 1784 that is still powered by Europe’s most powerful working waterwheel. There are live demonstrations of the machinery every day. Take a guided tour of the Apprentice House, which housed the pauper children who worked in the Mill and learn about their working and home lives. There are delightful walks round the mill of around 1 mile or 1 and a half miles.
The coach fare is £9.00. Non National Trust members will have to pay £12.25 entrance.
