Our July walk, led by Irene Astill and Teresa Mercer was 7 miles, starting in Calverton.
Eighteen people came along, which was good considering the extremely hot weather. When we got to the Four Bells at Woodborough the group were given the option of cutting the walk short because it was so hot. We could have either done the 4 mile walk or the 7 miles as planned. Despite the extreme heat the majority said they were out to do a longer walk, so off we set again!
Everyone was amazed by the views over Calverton and everyone enjoyed the walk.
We finished by having a nice welcome pint at the Gleaners pub in Calverton.
Our next walk is on Monday 19th August – to CHATSWORTH (6 miles)
