MID-LENGTH WALKING GROUP
Our October walk, led by John Tedstone was a 7 mile circular starting from Caunton, near Newark. This is an area of typical Nottinghamshire countryside; our route took us past Beesthorpe Hall and through the lovely villages of Maplebeck and Winkburn. We went over fields, footpaths, little bridges over the brook and down country lanes.
We all had a good day, despite getting a little damp whilst eating our sandwiches! Our day ended with a drink at The Plough Inn in Caunton.
Our ‘Christmas’ walk & meal is on:
Monday 17th November, from The White Lion Inn, Selston
