Lunch Group Plans August – October

On July 22^nd we returned to George’s at The Thorn Tree, Woodlinkin so that those who could not get in on our first visit, could be accommodated.  The quiz on that occasion was a General Knowledge one and was won by Team Thompson, Ingalls and Priestley.  On July 29^th forty-seven of us will enjoy our lunch on the Nottingham Princess Riverboat cruise when the quiz will be a nautical-themed one.
On Aug. 26^th we hope to find our way to The Hilcote Country Club, Blackwell, South Normanton.  Please make sure you get the directions from me as the sat nav directions apparently are not very good and take you on to the M1!
We plan a visit to The Shepherd’s Rest at Lower Bagthorpe on September 23^rd so make sure you have made your menu choices beforehand please.
We are hoping to lunch at The Countryman in Kirkby in Ashfield on 28^th October.
We are planning our annual visit on December 16^th to the Albert Hall for Christmas Lunch & Dick Whittington panto at Nottingham Playhouse. I shall need the Panto payment of £23.50 at  the August meeting. Please make your cheque payable to Hucknall & District U3A.
When putting your name down for the Lunch Group would you please indicate whether you can offer lifts to others or if you need a lift.  It’s getting to be quite a big task to sort lifts out so if you have been having regular lifts with the same person, could I please ask you to make your own arrangements with them directly.  Of course I will still try to get lifts for new members to the Lunch Group and am always very grateful to those members who kindly offer lifts.
