Lunch Group May – August

The Lunch Group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 12 noon (unless otherwise stated) at a different restaurant each month. The menus vary in price and content but hopefully average out over the year at a reasonable cost. It is an opportunity for members to meet together socially and try out different restaurants which, as individuals, they may not have had the chance to try before. We always have a quiz which is usually related to the venue or its theme. We hope you will find something of interest to your “taste” and look forward to meeting up with you each month.
On 27th April 28 members enjoyed lunch at The Carnarvon at Teversal which is a very attractive venue, although it took a little while to find! The Miscellaneous Quiz was won by Fred Ridley and June Williamson.
The next four lunches will be as follows:
On May 25th – Bistro Pierre, Nottingham – No deposit needed
On June 22nd – Sprinters, Arnold – £2 deposit
On July 27th – Soulville Steakhouse, Nottingham – £5 deposit
On August 24th – The Waggon at Halam – No deposit needed
Places are limited at some venues so make sure you get your name down as soon as possible. I shall need a deposit for some of these lunches. The menus are on the U3A website so if you have your name down please let me know your menu choices.
