The first Lunch Group in over eighteen months was on Wednesday, 27th October at Miller & Carter, Papplewick when 24 sat down to dine. As I was away in Scotland, Rose Ridley kindly was in charge and I hope everything went well. Luckily the restaurant did not want our pre-orders or any deposits so it was a bit easier for our first time out in ages.
Sprinters at Arnold (part of the Stadium Leisure company and similar menu to that at The Broomhill) is the November 24th lunch and I will email everyone with the menu soon so please let me have your choices by return.
I am also taking names for the Christmas Lunch at the Albert Hall on Wednesday, 15th December, 3 courses for £19.95. We always enjoy a lovely meal at the Albert Hall with silver service by welcoming staff. There are still places left but I will need the balance of the cost at the November meeting if you have just paid a deposit, or the full cost if you are only just putting your name down.
I shall be looking for a local venue for January in case we have snow (you never know!).
