Our July walk was a 7 mile circular from the village of Pilsley in the Chatsworth Estate and, once again, we were blessed with dry weather. Our breaks were in unusual places, with coffee in the graveyard at Edensor church, where the little wall around Joseph Paxton’s tomb provided a very comfy seat for us all. Then lunch was in the graveyard at Baslow church!! It was a good walk with excellent views; thank you to our walk leader, John Tedstone. Drinks were rather pricey in The Devonshire Arms in Pilsley but the get together after our walks is always enjoyable.
Our next walk will be led by Sue and John Tedstone on: Monday, August 20th, 2018. We will be doing a 7-mile circular starting from Litton, Derbyshire.
