Maureen Newton, Hucknall and District U3A History Group Leader, is asking for volunteers to take part in a shared learning project called “In their own Write”. The project, which is funded by the Arts Humanities Research Council but managed by the National Archives and the University of Leicester, is about researching and transcribing letters from 19th century paupers. Training and workshops are taking place in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire.
