On Wednesday 18th November at 2pm we have a presentation from Jenny Page who has been to talk to us before. This time we will stay fairly close to home because it will be about religious buildings in Nottinghamshire. Think Felley, Beauvale, Newstead – all within close proximity and others. There is no meeting in December. The history group meet at Central Methodist Church Hall. The facilities in the building are suitable for people with any kind of mobility problems.
The first meeting in the new year is on January 20th when members have been asked to research a famous person in history. They may be male or female – consider, for example, an author, musician, painter, doctor, builder, engineer, sportsperson, etc. etc.
At the last meeting some members sitting at the back could not hear the speaker very well. This problem will be addressed.
