January 15th: Stephen Flinders is coming and bringing his
‘Box of Curiosities’. (The presentation will commence at 2.00 pm
February 19th: Members Meeting. History Books. Tell other members about a ‘history’ book you have read; why it captured your imagination and why you think they should enjoy the read.
March 18th: Visit to Richard lll Centre and Leicester Cathedral. Leave Hucknall at 10.30 am; leave Leicester at 4.00 pm; return to Hucknall at 5.30 (ish). Cost £18
April 15th: Malcolm Darroch is coming to talk about ‘When the Balloon went up’.
May 20th: Friends of Bennerley Viaduct. (Kieran Lee)
Coming to talk about this historic monument past and future.
June 17th: Visit to Doddington Hall and Gardens. Leave Hucknall at 9.30 am; leave Doddington at 4.00 pm; return to Hucknall at 5.30 (ish). Cost £20 – Price cut to the bone.
July and August – holidays
September 16th: Robert Mee is coming to talk to us on Bradshaws and an early railway Tour. (He says it is the famous railway timetable and a mystery tour.)
October 21st: Visit to Sharpes Pottery and The Magic Attic. Leave Hucknall at 12.15 pm; leave Sharpes at 4.3 pm, return to Hucknall at 5.30 pm (ish). Cost £11.
November 18th: Members Meeting – Christmas theme
December 16th: No meeting – close to Xmas
