The Gardening Group had a record turnout of 40 members to their October meeting when they received an informative presentation by Sophie Timmerman concerning the development of Timmermans Garden Centre at Woodborough since 1955. The presentation also included looking at winter plants, mainly shrubs, whose main appeal is their aroma.
Our next meeting to which all U3A members are invited will be on November 18th at John Godber 2.00 p.m. with a presentation of the development of an off shoot from Brackenhurst College specially designed for young people with special needs called the Flower Pod. Make this a date in your diary now. For any information concerning the Gardening Group and enquiries about matters relating to gardening contact Alan Snape on 0740146542 or on the form below.
