Gardening Group
Following our August visit to Meynell Langley Trials Gardens on Tuesday September 16th many members of the group will be paying a visit to Harlow Carr – a Royal Horticultural Centre at Harrogate. Travelling by coach we set off from Ogle Street, outside Sue Ryder’s shop at 09.45 a.m. and return there at about 5.00 p.m. If there are any payments outstanding please present to our treasurer Judith at our U3A meeting on Wednesday 10th. Any queries to me, Alan on 07940146542 or on the form below.
The visit above will be the last outbound activity for this year and for our meeting at The John Godber Centre on October 21st we have arranged for Sophie Timmerman, from Timmermans Garden Centre to come along with a slide presentation. Also at this meeting we would welcome your ideas in putting together a programme for 2016. Should anyone have any surplus produce, plants or seeds please bring them along to help with fund raising.
Want to learn more about bulbs then ring Hollybeck garden centre to book a seat at their Bulb talk being held at their Garden Centre on Thursday October 9th at 10.30. Their number is 0115 9655450.
