Urgent Important News
Unfortunately due to transportation problems the trip to Holme Pierrepont Hall and Gardens planned for Tuesday March 18th has had to be postponed till later in the year.
Any money that has been paid over re this trip will be returned to members concerned – please see Judith at the next meeting.
Any one with own transport still wishing to go and visit this venue is recommended to visit on a Sunday when refreshments are to hand. Alternatively wait till we reorganise the visit later in the year.
To avoid this happening on future visits we are negotiating arrangements with Nottingham Community Transport to provide a mini bus and driver to be supplemented with members’ own cars. Could any of our members using their own cars, going on any of our visits and are prepared to give lifts to other members please let the organisers know so that arrangements can be made. We will also maintain a list of members requiring lifts along with their residential area so that lifts can be arranged with those living in the same area.
As an alternative the Garden Meeting for the afternoon of Tuesday March 18th will still be held as usual at 2.00 p.m. in the Byron Suite of the John Godber Centre. A gardening quiz and seed swop shop is being arranged.
We intend to issue an activity calendar for the rest of the year very shortly.
