54 members of the Gardens Group visited Sheffield Botanical Gardens and enjoyed an absolutely brilliant day with blue sky, good temps and sunshine all the way. What a surprise for everyone with guided tours from well informed guides who took such a personal delight in their own involvement with the restoration work going on there all paid for by the National Lottery. There was a marvellous display of camellias and magnolias in a vast selection of colours. The gardens on Clarkehouse Road can be worth a visit at any time of the year. Nice one Janet. Now on to the Rhododendrons and Azaleas at Lea Gardens in May.
