Gardening Group

A select and intrepid group of gardeners met last month for the final Gardening Group trip of the year to Newby Hall in Yorkshire. We were not disappointed with all that the Gardens had to offer, and enjoyed a lovely day out with good weather. Some viewed the gardens by boat and by train as well as on foot and others also visited the Hall which has a very interesting history. Newby Hall is well worth a visit if you are ever in the area.

Our next two meetings are at the John Godber Centre, from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm, in the room downstairs. Please note the time! October’s meeting on the 18th is entitled ‘A Plethora of Plants’, followed by the usual refreshments.

We are an open group and all are welcome, especially new members, even if you do not have a garden. The NGS website still has interesting gardens for you to visit online and in person, and to enjoy what other people have done with their gardens this year.
