Film Club Showings

The Film Club
Having just been to the 13.30 show at The Broadway and watched The Railway Man with Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman managing to fill both cinemas I was amazed how many U3A members ere present and how many I personally knew. It is surely a great thing belonging to the U3A and making so many friends.
Next Thursday at 10.30 and 13.30 they are showing “Inside Llewyn Davis” unfortunatley I will be at Thoresby for 5 days. The following week, the 6th, they are showing Gold Finger plus intro, The 13th. This is followed by The Invisible Woman and on the 20th The Innocents then on the 27th The Monuments Men.
The Friday Film Club at The Bonington Theatre is now back in full swing with films every Friday except when there is a play on. All start at 7.30 Films and Plays.
The Film Club has a lifelong membership fee of £1 and all films are £2.50 to watch. there is an intermission to make space to draw the raffle. The Bonington seats about 190 so it is rare to be sold out. This Friday the 25th they are showing Song for Marion and on the 31st it will be another chance to see Groundhog Day. I have to admit that at least 50% of the audience are usually U3A members.
