All events organised by the Weekenders Group are open to all U3A members, regardless of whether they are regulars or not. Obviously places are sometimes limited so it’s first come, first served; I should be grateful if you could let me know if you are interested in these events as soon as possible so that I can let other members know if I have places left.
We started off January with lunch at The Broomhill on the 13th, followed by a Social Evening the following day at Lindsay Smith’s home – many thanks Lindsay for your hospitality and for organising a Slogans Quiz and a session of Farmyard Bingo – hilarious! Then, on 21st January we had a Bus Pass Day Out to MacArthur Glen – three buses each way but at least I got a couple of bargains and started my 2017 Christmas shopping! Our January Coffee Club was on Monday, 30th January.
Events planned for February include a visit to St. Peter & St. Paul’s Fashion Show on 3rd February, 2017, Sunday lunch at Moda on 5th February, 2017, a visit to Nottingham’s Light Night on 10th February, 2017, a Fish & Chip Social Evening on 11th February, 2017, finishing with our Coffee Club on Saturday, 25th February, 2017.
