Cycle Group

June 6th to June 12th was designated UK Bike Week
On Sunday 12th June our ‘Bike Week’ ride was a route of about 38 miles to Trent Lock and back. The ride was logged with Cycling UK and this photograph of the group was taken as we entered the Nottingham University Jubilee Campus. This was also submitted to Cycling UK with our route information.

Sunday July 17th
Many of the group take part in the 50 mile Great Notts Cycle live event. However this year it was cancelled but we are not deterred as we are having a family and friends weekend ride which follows a route of about 52 miles devised by our route master, John Saunders, and his loyal apprentice Terry Hill.

This takes us down to Pride Park Derby and is a family and friends ride with all riders donating money to a charity. Last year it was Rumbletums Cafe this time it is for the Lymphoedema Support Network. We are pleased to support member, John Pretty, who is:

‘supporting this cause to raise awareness of Lymphoedema in the community and because LSN has been a source of comfort and hope to my wife Ann and to many other sufferers.’
