Further to support the info I posted on the Hucknall U3A website I have produced a calendar of all events that have come to my attention and that take place during the coming months. This includes films, concerts, plays, ballet and opera. This calendar has been emailed to all those U3A members who have requested to be included in my mailing list. Do you enjoy serious piano playing and are free on a Sunday morning then maybe you would like to attend Piano Recitals held at the Royal Centre on Sunday 21 February when Emmanuel Despax plays Haydns Piano Sonata Hob XV1/52 and Chopin’s 24 Preludes Op 28. also on Sunday 6 March when Jayson Gillham plays Handel’s Suite in E major; Beethoven’s Sonata in C major and Bartoks Suite )- 14. Poulen’s Melancolie and Debussy’s L’Isle Joyeuse.
These recitals both begin at 11.00am, last about 1 hour and include cake with coffee or tea. The cost is £10 – Booking Office 0115 9895555
