Wine Tasting March Meeting

The theme for the fourth meeting of the Group was “4 European Reds”. A Sangiovese from Italy, a Gigondas from France, a Merlot from Bulgaria and a Spanish Tempranillo wine were sampled. The Aldi Gigondas was the most popular, but then it was the most expensive. The surprising second spot, again from Aldi, was the economical Torro Loco Tempranillo, but the Group learned that it had won a bronze award at the International Wine & Spirit Competition, so maybe we are learning something!
