Not so Grumpy Old Men

For the October meeting a group of NSGOM ventured up to the wilds of Newstead Village where we came across Julian Bray, a local Artist.

He sat us down in the Village Community Hall, where he has a studio, and explained to us the finer arts of painting with Acrylics. One or two thought that it might help with the interior decorating, but we soon learnt that was not the case. Julian advised us we would be painting a Tiger, obviously fear ran through the group as we thought it would be a caged animal, but fortunately it was a photograph of a Bengal Tiger. We offered Melvyn Francis as a Still Life Model, but the Tiger got the vote.

Through the patience and knowledge passed over by Julian and after a 2 hour lesson we all ended up with something resembling a Tiger. Afterwards we retreated to the Badger Box, where we purred over the mornings activities.
