The History Group always welcomes all U3A members. Our usual meeting place is Central Methodist Church: time 2 pm – 4 pm (ish)
Our next meeting is on April 20th, 2022, when we visit Cromford Mill. We will have a guided tour of the buildings plus the Arkwright Experience. Leave Hucknall 12 noon – leave Cromford 4.30 pm to arrive Hucknall 5.30 pm (ish)
The next indoor meeting on Wednesday, May 18th, was to have been a presentation by Stephen Flinders but he is unwell at present and won’t be able to come. It means I am looking for a replacement or you will have to manage with something I can put together. In any case it will be a surprise???
At the next main meeting Kath and Kathy will be taking bookings for our much delayed visit to Doddington Hall in June – price £22.
I have also contacted Kieran about the Bennerley Viaduct History tour as suggested at the last meeting and he would like to know how many of us to expect. I will be taking names at the next main meeting for what is likely to be an evening visit and probably a coach journey would be best
