A shorter but dry walk around Titchfield Park was the venue for the Stollers Group.

A point of interest were the well maintained Polish War Graves, which, those of us who had been at the last General Meeting heard that these are maintained by the War Graves Commission.

A leisurely coffee break in the very busy Park cafe ended our morning.

Heavy rain and dull skies forced us to abandon our planned walk at Papplewick and visit Brooke Farm for coffee instead.

Better luck next time!

A journey on the Tram to Highfields University Park began our November walk.

A stroll around the lake where we saw Heron and Cormorants plus the inevitable Geese was enjoyed by us all. We even met the Easy Walkers Group en route but declined their offer to join them and went to the café by the lake instead where some of us visited an exhibition of Feather Sculptures.

Hopefully we will revisit the Park next year before the River Leen exhibition finishes.

The Strollers Group enjoyed a pleasant walk around the Art Trail at Patchings Farm Art Centre near Calverton .

We were sorry to hear the place is up for sale and its future is unsure.

The photo shows the Monet Bridge which is unfortunately in bad repair and the lake is very overgrown but still a pretty site.

There was the usual Coffee Stop at the café on site.

Well worth a visit!

A local walk from Titchfield Park through to Bulwell Hall Golf Club via Farleys Lane was the choice for our latest venture.

It was a little longer than expected but everyone enjoyed the walk and chat, (and the coffee at the Golf Club was welcome  too!)

Details of our next walk will follow.
