Weekenders

The Hucknall U3A Weekenders Group was set up in response to some members saying that, as single people, although there were plenty of U3A Group activities during the week, quite often the weekends might be not very busy at all.
Activities in the past have included trips to band concerts in the park, a walk along the canal after lunch at the Riverside, Nottingham, a visit to Southwell and the Workhouse, a Carols for Everyone concert at Southwell Minster, a trip to the National Memorial Arboretum, a supper at a member’s home and a talk given by another member on “Discovering Life”.
One member was happy to organise a weekend away. The type of activity depends on what the members would like to do and all suggestions are noted.
