We had a Broomhill Birthday lunch on the 26th November, 2021, for June Flint.

We enjoyed our annual outing to the Blue Diamond Garden Centre at East Bridgford on 19th November; the restaurant was very packed but we all managed to do some Christmas shopping.

We have not planned any social activities in our homes for the time being.

We had a Broomhill Birthday lunch on 15th October for Anita Lingard, but our birthday lunch on 29th October for Lindsay Smith has been cancelled through illness; there was a Bus Pass Day out on 22nd October.

Due to Covid concerns we have cancelled our usual Coffee Club on 31st October and our Fish & Chip Night on 13th November. However there will be another Bus Pass day out to the Craft Fayre at Southwell Minster on the 6th November.

But we are really looking forward to our outing to the Blue Diamond Garden Centre at East Bridgford on 19th November, which usually puts us in the mood for Christmas! Let’s hope the current Covid position does not worsen.

We had a Broomhill Birthday lunch on 3rd September for Margaret White, wished Jean Green a happy September birthday although she was not available for a Broomhill Lunch as she was on holiday, and a Coffee Club meeting at Brook Farm Tearoom, Linby on Saturday, September 18th,

Sadly our member, Gladys Hibbard, passed away on 31st July. She will be much missed.

We met for a social evening on August 7th when hilarious tales of health problems and funerals were discussed, plus we had lunch at The Nabb Inn on August 14th. We also had an outing to Boundary Mills, Rotherham followed by a fish lunch at the excellent Whitby’s Restaurant.

Due to bus size restrictions for our outings, the Weekenders Group is limited to 16 members and is full at the moment.

We again had two garden meet ups, at the end of June and July on the same day but different venues, so that in spirit we were all together and also our birthday lunch for Ann Burton took place on July 23rd at The Broomhill. We met up for lunch at Arunothai which was excellently organised also.

We are planning to lunch at The Nabb Inn in August. We had our first outing in 22 months to Dobbies at Barlborough & McArthur Glen on 12th July and have made plans for more outings, lunches and hopefully social evenings up until Christmas so watch this space.
