Our August walk through woods and open fields, taking in views of the Solar Farm and the old Brick Yard (which prompted memories of the Sunday Markets gone by) was enjoyed by twelve easy walkers. We ended up at the Nabb Inn for refreshments.
The walk was longer than usual, I’ll ensure the next one is a little shorter!
A walk from Titchfield Park over the bypass and through shady woodland to Bulwell Hall Golf Club for coffee was enjoyed by a good number of members.
It’s strange that some of us have lived in Hucknall for a while and still continue to find places we’ve never visited.

Just what the U3A is all about!
As it was a beautiful day we were able to do the walk around Papplewick which had been cancelled in January due to the inclement weather.
Our leader took a wrong turn but we were soon back on track ending up at the site of the old lido before returning to Brooke Farm for refreshments.

We started our last walk of the year from Newstead Village and walked through to the Abbey where we stopped off for refreshments. A beautiful if chilly morning enjoyed by nine brave souls!
Our next walk will be in January 2025!
In October our Strollers group enjoyed a pleasant walk around Bestwood Lakes. The sun shone and the trees put on a colourful display.
Our walk ended at East Side Methodist Church where Maureen Newton had kindly arranged for coffee and biscuits to be served.
