May’s trip will be to the Birmingham Back-to-Back houses. Last May I had trouble filling the coach for the May trip as many members decided to go on the National Trust trip in favour of the history trip. This venue is only small and so only take small groups. The trip will be on Thursday, 31 May leaving at 9.00 am from the Hucknall Leisure Centre. I will be selling places at the April meeting. The cost of the trip is £10.00. There will be an additional entrance charge of £8.05 for non-National Trust members.
The party will take tours of the Back-to-Backs in four groups at 1.15pm, 1.30pm, 1.45pm and 2.00pm. This will allow time in the morning for a brief look around Birmingham and lunch in Birmingham before-hand.
Please Note: The venue has steep narrow stairs and isn’t recommended for anyone with mobility issues.
