Our July walk started from the peaceful village of Gunthorpe, leading to the tiny village of Caythorpe, walking on field paths through the picturesque countryside, crossing wooden footbridges and over a couple of stiles. Then it was on to Hoveringham to join the relaxing riverside path with superb views of the River Trent. We followed the riverside path (Trent Valley Way), with one more stile and three more gates to reach Gunthorpe Lock and finally back to the Unicorn Pub.
