Chair Based Exercise

This is a very popular exercise class and both ladies and gentlemen are encouraged to join.

The class covers 3 main areas together with a warm up and cool down. The first activity involves a series of exercises based on the Otago programme which looks to improve strength, flexibility, balance and mobility, while using the chair for support while standing. Next, the use of resistance bands to increase strength and improve range of movement and the third activity involves fun exercise routines to music, (both while seated).

Our class meet on the second Monday of the month, 2pm till 3pm in the main hall of the JGC.

If you feel this class is for you, then please send an email or see me at our monthly meeting to arrange a possible starting date. Please do not just turn up as the class maybe full, you will however be put on the waiting list.

I look forward to meeting with you.
