The following are the proposed venues for the Lunch Group for 2012. Some have yet to be confirmed so this list is for guidance only. The Lunch Group always meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 12 noon unless otherwise advised (apart from December when it is the third Wednesday). If you would like to attend but have no transport, contact Sandra Green and she will match you up with someone who can offer a lift. March 28 – The Rockaway Hotel, Beeston - Full
April 25 – Reg Taylor’s Garden Centre, (nr. Southwell) – limited to 36 places
May 23 – Dog and Duck, Clipstone – yet to be confirmed
June 27 – Waltons Hotel, The Park, Nottingham – limited to 40 places
July 25 – Nottingham Princess river cruise and lunch – limited to 54 places
August 22 – West End Restaurant, West Bridgford – places available for everyone
September 26 – Felley Priory Tea Room, nr. Underwood – limited to 30 places
October 24 – Riverbank Bar & Kitchen, Trent Bridge – yet to be confirmed
November 28 – Chatsworth Farm Shop Restaurant – yet to be confirmed
December 19 – Osbourne Lounge, Albert Hall & Nottm. Playhouse Panto

In December we saw “Cinderella” at the Nottingham Playhouse with lunch beforehand at the Osbourne Lounge of the Albert Hall. All we can say is SUPER! The meal and service at the Albert Hall was excellent (we intend going back again, hopefully to one of the free Binns Organ Recitals with a three course meal at £9.95 beforehand).

In January we are going to The Flaming Grill in Hucknall. They are doing a meal deal of Two for £9; this is now full.

February 22nd at 12.00 noon – We are going to Fillets Fish Restaurant at Mansfield Woodhouse. There is a pensioner special meal deal of Haddock or Cod, Chips, Peas, Beans or Gravy, Bread and Butter and Tea or Coffee for £5.75 or you can choose from the main menu but I have to have your names and choices this month if possible please. We have lots of venues to look at for the rest of the year so please go to the Hucknall U3A website, click on Lunch Group and you will see what we are planning.
It is hoped that in future the menus will be included on the website, giving you more time to make your choices which you can telephone through to me or email me. For those of you not on email, just give me a ring and I will tell you what is available.
This way, hopefully, the queue at my table may not be as long.

If anyone would like to volunteer to run Lunch Group Two then please speak to me and we can sort that out.
