Research request from Leicester University

We have received a request by a student at Leicester University for our Members to take part in a research study. Below is the request and the link to complete the study online.

Whilst the U3A are happy to encourage this type of liaison with Universities, any response is representative of the individual not the U3A.

John Ellis

‘I am carrying out a research project for my MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology at the University of Leicester which examines how a mock jury perceives a particular witness. In order to this I have developed an online survey which will ask participants questions about a simulated court case. The survey will take approximately fifteen minutes to complete. Would it be possible to place this link to the survey on your website with a request for people to take part in this interesting study?

We would like partcipants of all ages, over the age of 18, to take part in this survey and are particularly interested in responses from U3A given recent the government consultation to increase the upper aged limit of jury members past 70. The research has been approved by the University’s Psychology Departmental Ethics Committee’.
